Great work with the podcast Stephen A. I was hoping you would have your own podcast when you were at ESPN so this is good stuff.

Dude, If you are seriously gonna be at the game tonight, I’m coming! Totally buying tickets right now. Would make my week to see you in person.

But I agree with you, Kobe does look damn tired and it’s sad to watch. He really can’t do it all by himself and you can see in his face that at times he feels he has no choice but to do it all. I can’t comment about the Lamar Odom candy thing. I didn’t see it nor have I read about it so I won’t speak on it, but I’m sure someone will kick him to life tonight.

I disagree however that the Lakers will win tonight. I just don’t see it. Will they win the whole thing, I’d say sure, but it brings nightmares of last year so all I can do is watch and see.

Can’t wait for the next podcast. This is too awesome.

How will kobe come back tonight in game 4 after what he called a “sub-standard performance.” And do u think orlando will win all 3 Home games?

Great to hear your commentary on the NBA again!! Heaven does exist.

Kobe has the highest BB IQ of any player in the league to date and as such, he has to pass out of those double, triple quadruple teams well before the “collapse.” If this team is going to lose, I’d rather they lose as a “team” and not because of Kobe making the attempt to outscore the Magic all by himself.

That being said, I almost get the feeling that he’s focusing more on claiming the Finals MVP as opposed to utilizing the inside/out with Pau. I almost get the feeling that it reminds him of the playing days with Shaq and the subsequent credit he received by the media for all of their “chips.”

Hopefully I’m wrong and Kobe will get back on track and force the rest of the team to pick up their offense by moving the ball to the open man. If they fail to get the ball inside and resort to taking outside jumpers, then I’d rather see Kobe attempting most of those shots. The others: they’re going to have to pick up that dribble and drive to the basket – PERIOD!! Lakers in 6…

Loved the podcast!! Looking forward to more. I agree, the Lakers will win game 4 and finish it out in LA.

I too am looking forward to the “Great Debate” between Kobe and Lebron next year.

PS REMEMBER THIS, the Lakers “already have their team in place,” and the Cavaliers “already have their team in place” yet like the rest of the NBA, they keep drafting, trading and retiring folks. Why? In order to keep moving onward and upward. As great as Kobe and Lebron are, they need the “right team” in order to stay on top before their time is up too.

Recognize, Stephen A. Hit me up in LA.

Stephen A. you’re a trip and the truth. I just listened at your podcast it was great and funny. I am so baffled about Lamar Odom myself he has all the talent in the world he should be one of the best in the league with his talents and he should also be the Pippen for Kobe. It pisses me off when I see a guy with all that talent and making that much money just go through the motions on the court and Kobe giving it his all because Kobe cares, Kobe wants to win, Kobe strives to be the best, and Lamar just half asses his way to a pay check. Thats not a shame thats a DAMN SHAME. It seems like Lamar doesnt care if he plays his best and that he is being the best player he can be. Why should some team pay him a lot of money to get a half ass job, they can pay a player with half the skill level that Odom has and get the same production if not more from that player and the team would be paying that player a lot less money. If Lamar would have always played up to his potential and was playing up to his potential now he wouldnt have to worry about getting his money because he would get it and the Lakers would have won last year against the Celtics and they would have swept the Magic this year. Thats a DAMN shame Kobe has to run himself to death with Gasol and Lamar on his squad, dont get me started with Bynum we will save that one, but Lamar doesnt need candy he needs to reach his potential and help Kobe win at least 2 more rings, but we all know if he hasnt reached his potential by now he wont reach his potential. DAMN SHAME. I am so tired of hearing about Farve also. My opinion he just wants to play against Green Bay and things should never be done out of spite and that is what he is doing.

    Stephen A, all day!

Yo son, it’s about time you started a podcast.

You know what would be even better for you, in addition to putting your podcasts on your website… a Stephen A Smith Youtube channel. You would pick up way more subscribers because it’s already a social network. I didn’t even realize you had a website until like a month ago.

Create a youtube channel, upload videos of you talking, and you’ll get your buzz back. Your fans will subscribe and comment. Your haters will comment. Your views would be through the roof, son.

From SAS: That’s a damn-good idea, son! I’m going to look into it. Thanks.
