I am a New York Yankee fan, and I was really sad this morning when I heard the news that Cliff Lee was going back to Philadelphia. If I felt terrible, I can just imagine the Mets fans. What a blow for them! They were struggling before and now with a stronger Atlanta and an even stronger Philly team in their division, they must be feeling like they just struck out in the bottom of the 9th with the bases loaded.
I can only guess that Lee’s decision to play with Philly was right for him. The truth of the matter is that you have to have a certain intestinal fortitude to accept NY Yankees money and play in the fish bowl. Not everyone can do it. Look how long it took A-Rod to get his head right.
